Information on Personal Data Processing

The controller of your personal data is Magdalena Wojtas, conducting business under the name Magdalena Wojtas Kancelaria Radcy Prawnego, with its registered office at ul. Fort Wola 12c/166, 01-258 Warsaw, NIP: 8181673622, REGON: 368406257, email address: info@edu4us.org (hereinafter referred to as “Edu4US” or “Administrator”).

Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:

1. Inclusion in the Operator’s Participant Database – the legal basis for processing is consent (Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter a GDPR);
2. Use in current and future recruitment processes conducted by the Site Operator for the University mentioned in the Regulations – the legal basis for processing is consent (Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter a GDPR);
3. Sharing with Cooperating Entities – the legal basis for processing is consent (Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter a GDPR);
4. Analytical and Statistical Purposes – the legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest of the Site Operator (Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR) consisting in conducting analyses of Participant activity on the Site and their preferences to improve the functionalities used;
5. Communication with the Participant via telephone, email, or other means and informing them about study start proposals at selected Universities or providing other information not related to Electronic Services provided to the Participant. In such cases, personal data is processed solely for communication and resolving the Participant’s issue. The legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest of the Site Operator (Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR) consisting in communicating with the Participant concerning their business activity. The Site Operator processes only the personal data relevant to the matter;
6. Provision of Electronic Services to Participants – the legal basis for processing is the necessity of processing to perform the contract (Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter b GDPR and Art. 22 paragraph 2 letter a GDPR). For the period of providing Electronic Services;
7. Direct Marketing – the legal basis for processing is Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR – processing is necessary for the purposes arising from the legitimate interests of the Site Operator – consisting in taking care of the interests and good image of the Site Operator, its Site, and striving to sell Electronic Services. The data is stored for the period of the legitimate interest pursued by the Site Operator, but no longer than the period of limitation of the Operator’s claims against the person concerned due to the Operator’s business activity. As part of direct marketing, the Site Operator processes data provided in the contact form available on the Site;
8. Establishing, pursuing, or defending claims that may be raised by the Site Operator or against him – the legal basis for processing is Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR – processing is necessary for purposes arising from the legitimate interests of the Site Operator – consisting in running and maintaining the Site. The data is stored for the period of the legitimate interest pursued by the Site Operator, but no longer than the period of limitation of the Operator’s claims against the person concerned due to the Operator’s business activity;
9. Statistics and Traffic Analysis on the Site – Art. 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR – processing is necessary for purposes arising from the legitimate interests of the Site Operator – consisting in conducting statistics and analyzing traffic on the Site to improve its functioning. The data is stored for the period of the legitimate interest pursued by the Site Operator, but no longer than the period of limitation of the Operator’s claims against the person concerned due to the Operator’s business activity.

The recipients of your data may be external entities with which Edu4US cooperates in providing services to the Participant, including potential Universities, other student recruitment agencies cooperating with the Site Operator, providers responsible for the maintenance of IT systems, entities providing legal or accounting services, couriers, recruitment agencies.

Your data is processed for the duration of the services provided by Edu4US, until the consent is withdrawn, or a valid objection to data processing is raised in cases where the legal basis for data processing is the legitimate interest of the administrator, to establish or pursue any claims or defend against such claims by the administrator, and for analytical and statistical purposes. The data processing period may be extended if processing is necessary to establish and pursue any claims or defend against them, and thereafter only if and to the extent required by law.

You have the right to access your data and the right to rectify, delete, restrict processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation of April 27, 2016 (GDPR).

Providing your personal data is a condition for using the service, and the consequence of not providing personal data will be the inability to use the service. Edu4US processes your data only to the extent necessary and ensures its security.
